Alright my good friends,
OK so I have some basic coding experience, well when I say some basic coding experience I went to college and worked on C++ and pascal some 18 years ago.
So why does a 38 year old fellow such as myself, want to go into developing web content? Well I'll tell, you the way unified communication and federation technology is going it quite an exciting time and a fundamental change in how we communicate is about to arrive. What with Google Wave, MS OCS, Cisco UC and the host of other platforms that will be coming through with collaborative tools and API's to meet all our sharing dreams.
So that's the why, I want to be part of this. The how is going to be journalled in this blog. I am as green as a fresh blade of grass. Don't get me wrong, I understand the technology as an Infrastructure Consultant but I have never developed more than a basic web site in recent years. SO i want to develop rich shareable content, strictly round a specific type of collaboration. One that will benefit greatly from this new technology - Music.
SO that's my end goal to achieve a platform that will allow 2 or more musicians to work on a composition without spending huge sums on software / studios to get demo worthy media out their. Anyway that's where I want to get to.
More than likely I'll just use this as journal of where i am in my project. If you follow, I thanks you.
